The Subotica Regional Landfill Ltd. has opened new waste collection yards: Bačka Topola, Kanjiža, Senta and Bikovo. Here, citizens can drop off recyclable waste free of charge, which brings significant environmental benefits.
During the opening ceremony, the importance of selective waste collection and environmental awareness was stressed, highlighting that the two bin system has already been successfully introduced in several municipalities and is being implemented in other areas.
It is possible to drop off waste sorted by type from Tuesday to Saturday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. The services of the collection centers can only be used by residents registered in the given settlement. The amount of the received waste is weighed and a receipt is issued.
The improvements and new systems are designed to promote more efficient waste management and recycling, as well as to meet EU standards and increase environmental awareness.
